As Louth is in the Heart of the Wolds, there is excellent walking and cycling through very pretty countryside. There are at least ten golf courses within twenty miles of Louth, with Kenwick Park and Louth virtually on the doorstep. Woodhall Spa, the home of the English Amateur Golf Association is just forty minutes away – with its two fabulous courses.

Cadwell Park. Part of the Brands Hatch group, where the World Superbike Championship is held in August, has many motor bike and motor car racing events throughout the year. The circuit is just six miles from the Masons Arms and the Hotel books up early well in advance of major track events.

Donna Nook Seal Sanctuary

Situated on Lincolnshire’s north east coast, Donna Nook is a seal watchers paradise being one of the largest breeding colonies in the UK.These grey seals are very tolerant of visitors and it is possible to get extremely close to them, but please do not touch.The best time to see the seals is in November and December, particularly during the week when there are fewer visitors.
